Why do I need a coordinator?
A wedding ceremony, no matter how big or small, is an involved production. Think of your wedding as a play. There are cast members (the bridal party), the crew (florist, photographer, caterer), and the audience (your guests). But where would any play be without a director, someone to guide the cast and crew and make sure everyone is in their places and knows their cues, making for a brilliant "scene" for the audience.
A bride without a coordinator is busy trying to direct everyone else on what to do and where to be, all while trying to play her part and enjoy the wedding herself. Everyone is coming to her with questions; she is stressed, frustrated, and may miss or not remember certain moments because she is trying to perform too many roles on her big day.
Attention to detail is key in making any production run smoothly. A coordinator's job is to know everyone else's role and help them to perform with ease, allowing the bride to relax and confidently step into her lead role, knowing that everything else is under control.
For your wedding, consider hiring a coordinator who will meet with you and understand exactly how you want your event carried out, and then dedicate herself to making that vision a reality. As someone who is not just a coordinator, but passionate about creating just the right atmosphere for each bride and groom I meet, I think you will be surprised and pleased with the incredible attention to detail and the assistance you will receive throughout your wedding and reception.
